My first show opening was on Saturday, and although I’m still dissecting how things went, I would say it was relatively hitch-less. The event drew a good crowd, we sold a few paintings, and I didn’t completely butcher my toast. It amazed me how much work goes into a simple event like this, and I’m thankful to have had so much help planning and executing this debut. I was also pleased and humbled to have family and friends travel all the way from DC just for this event — that’s dedication!
People genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves, and I’m hoping that will create good buzz for the actual opening (again, this was really a preview) this Saturday, the 16th.
